01. Background & Biography
Jill Seiferth fell in love with the practice of family law when she was a summer law clerk for the Honorable Jeffrey S. Brown at the Nassau County Supreme Court in New York. Jill Seiferth has exclusively practiced family law since she graduated from the American University Washington College of Law in 2010. At Zavos Juncker Law Group, PLLC, Jill zealously represents clients in a broad range of matters, including divorce, separation, child custody, child support, alimony, third party custody/visitation, protection orders, adoption, and probate matters.
As a child of divorce, Jill understands the stress and hardship involved in a family dispute. Jill uses her steady demeanor and knowledge of the law to help clients understand and navigate the legal system during what is often an overwhelmingly difficult personal, emotional, and financial situation.
Jill provides attentive care to her clients and strives to reach a client’s goals through mediation and negotiations. However, if a favorable settlement is not possible, Jill fervently represents and prepares clients for litigation. Jill is licensed in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
While earning her Juris Doctorate, Jill was a student federal prosecutor at the United States Attorney’s Office and represented the government in prosecuting crimes of domestic violence in the child sex offense unit. Jill also litigated protection order matters when she was a student attorney in the Domestic Violence clinic.
Jill has traveled and lived throughout the world and now lives in Northern Virginia. In her free time, she spends time with her family and volunteers with various legal and animal organizations. In 2018, Jill was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star.

02. Why Law
I enjoy practicing law because I genuinely get to help people solve their problems. Each case is unique and brings new challenges. I particularly love family law because I experienced how painful a divorce and custody battle can be when I was a child. My childhood experiences allow me to be empathetic and understanding when I help a client navigate the legal system during a tremendously painful time.
